Desert Horizon Behavior Services was born out of a deep passion for providing compassionate ABA therapy and a commitment to making a meaningful impact within our local community. Founded in 2024, we recognized a pressing need for group services tailored to children, teens, and adults, with a focus on fostering social connections and promoting independence. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where individuals can thrive, grow, and achieve their fullest potential through personalized care and innovative approaches.

Alysha Sauer

M.A., BCBA, LBA

Co-Founder, Administrative Director

Alysha Sauer is the co-owner of Desert Horizon Behavior Services, joining the company with a shared commitment to providing compassionate ABA therapy and creating a positive impact in the community. With a unique blend of professional expertise and personal passion, Alysha plays a crucial role in shaping the vision and direction of the company. In 2014, Alysha moved from the rural Sierra Nevadas to attend the University of Nevada, Reno, where she earned a Bachelor’s in Community Health Science with an emphasis in Public Health. This is where her passion for healthcare and helping others took root. She further pursued her graduate education at Florida Institute of Technology, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic techniques and best practices in the field of ABA therapy. Her education and training have been instrumental in shaping her approach to therapy, focusing on evidence-based methods that promote independence and meaningful social connections for clients of all ages. Alysha has a wide scope of practice, with experience in both individual and group services for individuals aged two to young adult with ASD, OCD, ADHD, FAS, ODD, and anxiety. With years of experience in Behavior Analysis, Alysha has developed a deep understanding of the challenges and needs of individuals with developmental and behavioral conditions. Her philosophy is grounded in a client-centered approach, ensuring that every treatment plan is tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Beyond her professional ambitions, Alysha enjoys spending time outdoors. She and her husband are often fishing, gardening, and spending time with their son.

Brittany Olsen

M.A., LSW, BCBA, LBA

Co-Founder, Clinical Director

Brittany Olsen, one of the founders of Desert Horizon Behavior Services, established the company with a vision to provide compassionate and effective ABA therapy for individuals of all ages. With a deep commitment to improving the lives of children, teens, and adults, Brittany brings a wealth of experience and a passion for fostering social connections and independence. Brittany holds a Bachelor’s of Social Work from University of Nevada, Reno and a Masters of Arts from Florida Institute of Technology, where she developed a strong foundation in behavioral analysis and therapeutic practices. Her education continued with hands-on experience to build a vast scope of practice, equipping her with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide high-quality care to clients with diverse needs. Brittany has over 10 years of experience within the ABA field and has built a vast scope. She has experience working with both groups and individuals with a variety of diagnoses (including Autism, ADHD, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, FAS, ODD and Selective Mutism) and with a variety of ages (from two years through middle-age adults). She also has experience in clinical, home, school and community settings. With a background in both social work and applied behavior analysis, Brittany has always been driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those with developmental and behavioral challenges. Her approach is rooted in empathy, evidence-based practices, and a personalized touch that ensures each client and family receives the care they need to thrive. Brittany believes in the power of community and collaboration, which is why Desert Horizon Behavior Services not only focuses on the individual but also offers group services designed to enhance social skills and build lasting relationships. Under Brittany's leadership, the company is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every client feels valued and understood. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending time with her loved ones. You can often find her exploring the Nevada desert with her husband and dogs or hosting a get-together with her friends! Brittany also enjoys mentoring students pursuing their certification in the ABA field, which further fuels her passion for helping others and staying connected to the community.
